Hope River General
Store and Emory Bar RV Park is a Family owned and operated by
Evert, Kathy and Jolena Hope (and family). We our situated in the
beautiful Fraser Canyon only 2 hours away from Vancouver. We
currently have 14 permanent sites that have power/sewer and water
with 50/100 amp service. The sites our approximately 50 by 100 ft
long and are adjacent to the General Store that has full amenities.
We our currently expanding the RV Park and by the end of May the
Park will have an additional 25 Campsites.
In addition to the Emory
Bar Campsite we also operate Yale Campground. The campground is on
the banks of the Fraser River across from the General Store. Emory
Creek is an area of historical significance for the province of BC,
especially with regard to the 1858 Gold Rush and the building of the
Canadian Pacific Railway. It was here that the railway laid its
first spike towards the east and west of BC. Without the development
of the railway, BC would not have become a part of Canada. It is
here that a large part of British Columbia’s future began.
Hope River General Store
and Emory Bar RV Park are bringing back the history to this area. We
our presently working on a CPR railway Library and Museum and also
the relocation and reconstruction of the St Joseph Church that was
built in 1880. Anyone who loves the outdoors and History will surely
find our Campsites and area a great place to spend your vacation.
